Show women like Shirene that they matter

Shirene maybe be just 23 years old. But she's recovering from years of abuse and exploitation. Her birthday celebration at Ella's was the first she's ever had. This is Shirene decorating cupcakes for her birthday party.

‘No one has ever celebrated my birthday before, or given me anything for it,’ says Shirene.

We mark the birthday of every women we work with at Ella's. We celebrate them, and given them cards and flowers. It's one of the ways we show them that they are cared for.

As well as providing Shirene with a safe place to live, were helping her access the mental health support she needs to recover, and build the life skills and confidence she needs to live independently. Without this kind of help, many survivors would fall back into danger and exploitation.

Shirene has so many hopes and ambitions. We know she has a bright future ahead, and we'll be there to support her as she recovers and moves forward.

Donate your occasion to Ella’s, and you will be helping to unlock freedom among women like Shirene. It's only thanks to the support of people you, that we can continue.
