Celebrating our award-winning frontline team

We were honoured with a WIN in the ‘Rebuilding Lives’ category at this year’s Anti-Slavery Day Awards!

We won in the frontline category at last month's Anti-Slavery Day Awards (October 2023), run by the Human Trafficking Foundation and the Marsh Charitable Trust. Our wonderful founder and Co-Director, Emily Chalke, and brilliant Support Worker, Maria Rente, were nominated by survivors, making it extra special for us. Our frontline team is amazing so it’s great to see them recognised in this way.

The women we work with find it incredibly difficult to talk about what they’ve experienced in the past, some of them simply can’t. But what they do love to talk about is the support, respect and care they receive from their support workers at Ella’s, and the difference this makes in their lives.

We know our frontline team are brilliant, and now it’s official thanks to this award. Thank you Human Trafficking Foundation and Marsh Charitable Trust, and to the survivors who made nominations. And a huge shout out to our award winning frontline staff!
